Notes of candied satsuma, milk chocolate and a light nuttiness.
Finca San Francisco is a unique farm in the Quiché department of Guatemala, owned by father and son team Hector and Pablo Bonilla. Environmentally and socially responsible, they not only take care of their coffee and its quality, but also their workers and their families. Some of the benefits received by their workers include housing, access to schools, and communal kitchens.
Besides coffee, Hector and Pablo grow macadamia nuts, lemons, and avocados, and cultivate their natural forests surrounding the farm which sustains life throughout the area. This ecosystem provides a habitat to a wide range of flora and fauna.
San Francisco is part of a larger farm called La Loma with a lower, flatter
section called La Ladera, with a rapidly inclining slope that is San
Francisco, peaking at 1,800 meters. It has great altitude and ideal exposure to the sun on a south-facing slope.
