In April 2022, we took a leap forward and became a 1% for the Planet member! Here's a little more on what that means for us and you, our coffee loving customers.

What is 1% for the Planet?

1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses on a mission to unite together to solve our planet's most pressing environmental issues. It brings together people and organisations, and aims to prevent greenwashing and provide accountability. 

There are currently around 3,400 business members in the network, including the likes of Patagonia, and us!

Why are we a part of 1% for the Planet?

To put it simply, we like Earth. We understand that businesses should act responsibly and put people and planet first. Since Day 1, we have been proudly plastic-free. From there, we've spent the past years taking a look at ways we can become a genuinely sustainable and ethical business.

From moving to a direct trade coffee model, meaning we buy coffee directly from farmers and producers so they get more money in their pockets, to making our carbon footprint and offset transparent via our partners at Reewild. 

All while our packaging remains 100% plastic-free and compostable!

Through joining 1% for the Planet, we want to go the extra mile and show our high-bar commitment to the planet and drive to continue acting as a conscious business, especially as we grow.
